The once-uncrowned king of pop-R&B, Jason Derulo, just dropped a bomb: he’s swearing off ever being alone in a room with a female colleague again. Why? Because of the legal hell brought on by a lawsuit from singer Emaza Gibson. The suit — refiled in New York after being dismissed twice on technicalities — has apparently left him paranoid, career-scarred, and painting with broad strokes.
Gibson originally claimed Derulo dangled a record deal in front of her — then allegedly pressured her with booze, sex, and even references to bizarre “rituals” involving drugs in exchange for success. When she said no, she says doors slammed. Contracts vanished. Her career got pulled out from under her.
Derulo, in turn, is publicly seething — not just at the allegations, but at how the media handled it. He said the lawsuit cost him “so many brand deals, relationships,” and claimed the rumors got so wild that some even alleged he “sacrificed a goat in a sexual ritual.” 😳 According to him, the damage was real — and wildly unfair.
In a recent interview, he doubled down: “I will never be alone in a room with a woman I work with… ever, ever again.” He’s effectively drawing a line in the sand — no more mixing business with any woman behind closed doors. It’s not confidence or protection — it’s trauma, legacy damage, and a vow to shield himself.
