“Tory Lanez Hospitalized After Prison Yard Altercation”

Rapper Tory Lanez, currently serving a 10-year sentence for the 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion, was reportedly stabbed by another inmate at the California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi. The incident occurred during morning yard time, and Lanez sustained non-life-threatening injuries, including facial wounds. He was transported to a civilian hospital in Bakersfield for treatment.

The motive behind the attack remains unknown, and an investigation has been launched by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, the Kern County District Attorney’s Office, and the Office of the Inspector General.

Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, was convicted in December 2022 on charges including assault with a semiautomatic firearm, possession of a loaded and unregistered firearm, and grossly negligent discharge of a firearm. He is eligible for parole in 2029.
