In May 2024, NFL legend Tom Brady participated in a Netflix roast titled “The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady,” where comedians took jabs at various aspects of his life, including his divorce from Gisele Bündchen. While the event was filled with laughter and camaraderie, Brady has since expressed deep remorse over his decision to participate, particularly due to the impact it had on his children.

Speaking on Logan Paul’s “Impaulsive” podcast, Brady candidly admitted that the roast was a “f*** up,” acknowledging that the jokes about his personal life were tough on his kids. He recounted the aftermath, saying, “We got done, we were – everybody was on Cloud Nine… And I’ll never forget when I talked to my kids the next day, and I was, like, I felt like, you know, a stake through the heart.”

Brady emphasized that, as a parent, there are moments where one realizes mistakes only in hindsight. He shared that his children questioned the purpose of the roast, asking, “What was the point of that?” This introspection led Brady to reflect on the importance of considering the emotional well-being of his family in public endeavors.

This isn’t the first time Brady has spoken about the unintended consequences of the roast. Shortly after the event, he mentioned on “The Pivot” podcast that while he enjoyed the performances, he didn’t anticipate the emotional toll it would take on his children.

Brady’s reflections serve as a reminder of the delicate balance between public life and personal responsibilities, highlighting the challenges of navigating fame while prioritizing family.
