Honey, the 2025 VMAs were straight chaos—nights don’t get wilder than this. Think nostalgia meets viral — and we are living for it.

Lady Gaga kicked things off like the queen she is, snatching Artist of the Year and slaying in a theatrical purple-ruffled gown. Her speech was dripping in fierce fan love and fiancé vibes—plenty of halftime energy, plenty of charisma.

Then, Summer Walker (okay, Summer “mystery date” Walker) stole our hearts and made the internet squeal. She turned heads with her teal fuzzy hat and dripping capri pants, then maybe shared a kiss with a mystery man—or was that a hallucination? We’ll never know.

Busta Rhymes came through and set the stage on literal fire. First to ever bag the Rock the Bells Visionary Award. He then invited Joyner Lucas, Papoose, and GloRilla to turn ‘Touch It’ into an entire movement. Legendary.

Of course, Mariah Carey finally got what she deserved—her coveted Video Vanguard Award (her first VMA win ever). She glowed in gold, sang her heart out, and hilariously roasted MTV like, “What took you so long?” Iconic moment.

And let’s not forget Doja Cat—gave us a throwback-pop-video fantasy while performing Jealous Type. Breakdancing, jaw-dropping choreography, and total control of the moment.

Finally, there was a rock-and-roll tribute for the ages—YUNGBLUD, Steven Tyler, and Joe Perry joined forces to honor Ozzy Osbourne in a performance dripping with homage and tears.
