Ozzy Osbourne, the unapologetic heartbreak kid of heavy metal, has left us—strutting off forever on July 22, 2025, at age 76, cushioned by family love. A trailblazing wildman from humble Birmingham roots, Ozzy didn’t just sing dark anthems—he embodied them. Sure, hospital stays and Parkinson’s tried to dim him, but he roared back—crowned on a throne, belting classics at his final concert like Paranoid and Crazy Train, with friends from Metallica to Guns N’ Roses cheering behind him.

He bit bats, snorted ants, and pissed on monuments (why not?—more ammo for rock folklore), but beneath the chaos was a tireless performer who spun MTV gold and birthed Ozzfest. And though health woes kept him behind a throne this July, he still left 45,000 fans and coronated music legends with one last epic blowout.

Tributes came fast and heavy—a flood of love, from Elton John calling him a revolutionary to his bandmates simply declaring “Ozzy Forever.” And just like that, the Prince of Darkness traded his throne on earth for a spot in rock history.
