A private investigator hired in connection with the disappearance and death of teen Celeste Rivas now believes there was a terrifying, calculated plan behind what happened — not just how she died, but how her body was supposed to be disposed of.
The investigator, Steve Fischer, who is working for the owner of the Los Angeles home rented by musician D4vd (who is linked to Celeste’s case), told the show “Law & Crime Sidebar with Jesse Weber” that the idea was so chilling he calls it “sadistic”.
He explains that the plan wasn’t just “something bad happened” — rather, he believes the Tesla in which her dismembered corpse was found in early September was originally meant to be a temporary storage location for her body, not the final dump.
According to Fischer, things took a turn around January or February of the year, and the last known photo of Celeste he saw was dated January 2. From his investigation, he strongly suspects she’d been dead for “a long time”.
For his part, Fischer says there’s no evidence that Celeste ever entered D4vd’s nearby residence — the inquiry into the home turned up nothing specific about her being there.
Meanwhile, the case remains unsolved: no arrests, no official naming of suspects by the Los Angeles Police Department, and the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office says the file hasn’t yet been transferred to them.
D4vd has remained silent on the investigation. He’s canceled his tour and halted his album release, and there are photos/videos of him spending time with Celeste over the years — but no public comment from him.
