In a shocking incident that has ignited widespread outrage, a Baton Rouge hairstylist was terminated after a disturbing confrontation over a $25 late fee escalated into violence. Surveillance footage reveals the stylist attempting to cut off an 11-year-old girl’s freshly braided hair when her mother, who was six months pregnant, refused to pay the additional charge for arriving 10 minutes late to their appointment.

The situation quickly devolved into a physical altercation, with the stylist allegedly cutting the mother’s hand during the scuffle. The video, which has since gone viral, shows other patrons intervening to separate the parties involved.

The child’s grandmother, Conchota Singleton, stated that the appointment had been prepaid and rescheduled by the stylist prior to the incident. The barbershop has since dismissed the stylist, condemning her actions and emphasizing their commitment to customer safety.

This incident has sparked a broader conversation about professionalism, customer service, and the appropriate enforcement of business policies.
