Hold onto your pearls, because the courtroom is about to get a front-row seat to the scandal of the decade. Sean “Diddy” Combs, the once-untouchable mogul, is now facing the music—and it’s not a chart-topper. A federal judge has ruled that the 2016 surveillance footage of Diddy allegedly assaulting his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in a Los Angeles hotel hallway will be shown to the jury during his upcoming sex trafficking trial.

Despite his legal team’s desperate attempts to keep the footage under wraps, claiming it was manipulated and prejudicial, Judge Arun Subramanian wasn’t buying it. He declared the video “highly relevant,” dismissing the defense’s arguments as smoke and mirrors.

Diddy’s defense tried to paint the footage as a distorted glimpse into a “complex but decade-long consensual relationship,” but the judge wasn’t swayed. The video, showing Diddy in a towel allegedly punching, shoving, and dragging Cassie, is set to be a pivotal piece of evidence.

Adding fuel to the fire, prosecutors allege that Diddy attempted to suppress the video, reportedly offering $50,000 to keep it hidden. Cassie, who settled a civil lawsuit against Diddy in 2023, is expected to testify under her real name, bringing her story directly to the jury.

The trial, set to begin on May 5 in New York City, will delve into charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. Prosecutors claim Diddy used his influence to coerce and abuse women over several years, orchestrating drug-fueled sexual “freak off” events involving male sex workers.

Diddy, who has pleaded not guilty and remains in custody, faces a mountain of allegations and a courtroom ready to dissect every detail. As the trial unfolds, the world watches, waiting to see if the Bad Boy’s empire will crumble under the weight of his actions.
