In the second week of Sean “Diddy” Combs’s federal trial, testimonies have unveiled disturbing allegations of abuse and coercion. Singer Dawn Richard recounted a 2009 incident where Combs allegedly assaulted his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, with a frying pan. Ventura herself testified about being forced into drug-fueled sexual encounters, termed “freak-offs,” and detailed instances of physical abuse, including a 2016 beating at a Los Angeles hotel. Her friend, Kerry Morgan, corroborated these claims, describing a separate assault where Combs allegedly attacked her with a coat hanger. Morgan also testified that Ventura paid her $30,000 to sign a nondisclosure agreement after the incident. The defense argues that the relationship between Combs and Ventura was mutually abusive and that the sexual activities were consensual. Combs faces multiple charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering, and has pleaded not guilty.
